CS process separators are designed for highly efficient removal of liquids from compressed air and vacuum systems. Inside the filter housing there is an inlet with vanes that creates controlled rotation of the air. As a result of centrifugal action (water, oil) and large particles move to the housing wall, slow down and collect at the bottom of the separator as condensate. This bottom zone prevents condensate from being "swept up" into the airflow. To drain condensate from the CS cyclone separator, it is essential to install an electronic or automatic condensate drain. CS cyclone separators are also available in a stainless steel version called CS-SS.
